If attackers successfully exploit vulnerabilities recently closed in the network analysis tool Wireshark, they can crash certain services. So far there's no indication from the developer that attackers are already actively exploiting the flaws. Even so, you should update soon.
28 DoS flaws fixed in one go
According to the release notes for the current version 4.6.8, the Wireshark developers have closed a total of 28 denial-of-service vulnerabilities. Specific CVE numbers and severity ratings aren't listed in the post. The descriptions of the individual flaws do show, though, that crashes can occur in the context of Bluetooth, RDP, and SSH, among others. For an attack via RDP, attackers would need to send crafted requests to a vulnerable computer running Wireshark to capture the traffic.
A recurring pattern
This latest batch of fixes fits a familiar pattern: back in May, the developers had already closed numerous security vulnerabilities in the network analysis tool. If you use Wireshark, for example for network troubleshooting or forensic analysis, you should install the current version promptly to protect yourself against possible crash attacks.
