Maincubes FRA01 · Frankfurt am Main

Why Frankfurt am Main?

Frankfurt is the most important internet hub in Europe. Hundreds of network operators exchange their traffic at DE-CIX, and almost every major carrier has its own infrastructure on site. Running servers here means short paths to every network and therefore low latency across Germany, the Benelux countries, France, Austria and Switzerland.

FameSystems operates its entire infrastructure exclusively in Germany. There are no locations abroad and no outsourcing of customer data to third countries. For you this means German data protection law, German jurisdiction and a contact person who knows the hardware your server runs on.

Energy

Power, cooling and green energy

The redundant power concept is based on the uninterruptible power supply from Piller Power Systems and six independent diesel generators. If the public grid fails, the UPS takes over without interruption until the generators secure the supply. The air conditioning is also redundant and is one of the most efficient solutions for cooling data centres.

The entire power demand is covered by renewable energy. Your servers therefore run on green electricity without any surcharge or configuration on your part.

Connectivity

Network and DDoS protection

Every server is connected with 2× 10 Gbit/s. All traffic permanently passes through Arbor Networks DDoS mitigation, which fends off attacks of up to 1 Tbit/s. An attack is detected within one second and stopped in less than 30 seconds without any action on your part.
